step one

  • Click "Tools"  and then "Account Settings."

  • Click your email address and then click "Change" (highlighted blue).

  • Type your email address in the "E-mail Address" and "User Name" boxes.  
  • Type your email account password in the "Password" box.
  • Click the "More Settings" box (highlighted blue).

  • The "Mail Account" can be named whatever you choose.

  • Click the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  • Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and ensure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.

  • Click the "Connection" tab.
  • Ensure "Connect using my local area network (LAN)" is selected.

step seven

  • Click the "Advanced" tab.
  • For "Incoming Server (POP3)" or "Incoming Server (IMAP)", ensure 110 for POP3 or 143 for IMAP is typed into the respective box.  
  • For "Outgoing Server (SMTP), ensure 25 is typed into the respective box.  
  • For "Use the following type of encrypted connection," select "TLS."
  • Click "OK."

step eight

  • Upon sending your first email, you may receive an "Internet Security Warning" message, please click "Yes."

step nine

  • After the "Internet Security Warning" prompt, you may receive a "Enter Network Password" prompt.  
  • Ensure your full email address is typed in the "User Name" box and that your email account password is typed in the "Password" box.  
  • Check the "Save this password in your password list" box.
  • Click "OK."
